How We Buy Your Record Collection We Do Not Cherry Pick Your Records
Question: What makes VinylRecords.Pro a unique buyer for your vinyl collection?
Answer: VinylRecords.Pro stands out by purchasing all records of value, unlike traditional record stores that cherry-pick collections. We accept and address records of no immediate value, offering collectors the chance to browse before recycling, adhering to our green philosophy to reduce landfill waste. With a straightforward evaluation process, we prioritize your time and ensure a seamless experience across Ontario locations.
We do NOT cherrypick your record collection. Unlike record stores or flea market vendors (which we are NOT) among other record buyers, we do NOT leave you with a pile of the worthless records. Ultimately, we will buy all your records of value, and will also accept/address your records that have no value, yet are still potentially viable, which we will give an opportunity for collectors to browse prior to proper recycling. We maintain a 'green' philosophy: aiming to extensively reduce landfill. We will buy/address all your records on their positive merit ( and tapes, CDs, and vintage audio equipment).
There are only a few pieces of detailed information that we need to obtain to get started .
ie: "I have hundreds." or "I have thousands."
ie: "I have pop, rock, and a bit of jazz."
ie: "I am in the east end of the GTA."
ie: "Weekday evenings are best."
To determine interest in your records, it is necessary that you provide some fundamental information. What vinyl records do you have to sell? What condition do you believe they are in? Be specific - vague information such as “piles of all sorts of music” or “everything” is not helpful. What is helpful, is for example: “I have two (2) old milk crates filled with records, mostly Jazz such as Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Dave Brubeck, etc”. “I am located in Scarborough”. Also, helpful is information such as : “I have a three (3) foot shelf of classic rock records from the sixties and seventies; such as Beatles, Led Zeppelin, The Who, and Pink Floyd.” Information such as: “I have a bunch of records from before I got married” is not helpful (unless we are your lifelong friend and we attended your wedding where you had brought your 'bunch of records' along with you).
Some people go to the trouble of making lists of their records. While it seems nice and proactive, it is likely a waste of your time and effort, taking hours to do so, and it isn’t necessary or particularly helpful. Making a list bloats up your expectation of the value of the record collection; even if you only respect your time at a minimum wage rate. A ninety (90) second phone call with quick answers to some basic questions will help us to qualify interest in your records. Please do not waste your time making a list; spend your time with family or doing something fun. We do not cash reward/reimburse anyone's time for list-making.
